“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16 (NASB)

Almighty Creator of the universe, watching over us all, we praise your holy name. Guide us toward your approaching kingdom as loyal followers of your every desire. Thank you for all that you provide in our lives. Bless us Father with your goodness and mercy, as we stumble our way through this life, and provide us with the ability to bless others in the same manner. Keep our minds ever vigilant to the disruptive powers of the evil one. Guide us on a path that avoids destruction. You alone are our protector and deliverer. We ask these things in the Holy name of Jesus. Amen.
It’s almost impossible to fully comprehend the price Jesus paid for our salvation. While Jesus was fully divine, he was also fully human. Jesus felt every moment of pain as he was beaten and hung on the cross. Jesus paid this price so that we, through faith in him, would be found righteous, and therefore able to spend eternity with God.
“And though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:8-9 (NASB)
The grave could not hold Jesus. The resurrection of Jesus demonstrated without question, his power over death and established beyond any doubt that he was indeed the Son of God. We all know the familiar verse of scripture John 3:16 that confirms in one line the enormous love God has for us. That love is never ending. There is absolutely nothing that can disrupt the love God has for us. Jesus is with us now and until the end of time.
“Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written, ‘For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’ But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35-39 (NASB)
Let this song fill your heart with joy.
You called out into darkness
You reached out to save us
You conquered the grave
You crossed the divide;
Lost in our sin
You made us alive
How can we ever hold it inside?
We can’t hold back
We’re gonna lift You higher, higher
Hearts burning bright like a fire, fire
Voices unite; make it louder, louder
We’re never gonna stop the singing
We’re never gonna stop the singing
Set free, no longer bound in chains
You rescued me and called me by name
You conquered the grave
You crossed the divide; lost in our sin
You made us alive
How can we ever hold it inside?
We can’t hold back
We’re gonna lift You higher, higher
Hearts burning bright like a fire, fire
Voices unite; make it louder, louder
We’re never gonna stop the singing
We’re never gonna stop
Higher, higher
Hearts burning bright like a fire, fire
Voices unite; make it louder, louder
We’re never gonna stop the singing
We’re never gonna stop the singing
Every tribe, every tongue, every heart will sing
Every knee, we will bow to the Risen King
Lift Him up, lift Him up
We’re never gonna stop the singing
Ooh we’re never gonna stop
Every tribe, every tongue, every heart will sing
Every knee, we will bow to the Risen King
Lift Him up, lift Him up
We’re never gonna stop the singing
Ooh we’re never gonna stop
Higher, higher
Hearts burning bright like a fire, fire
Voices unite; make it louder, louder
We’re never gonna stop the singing
We’re never gonna stop
Higher, higher
Hearts burning bright like a fire, fire
Voices unite; make it louder, louder
We’re never gonna stop the singing
We’re never gonna stop the singing
By the mercy of God, we have been granted salvation through our faith in Jesus. Our Creator has provided for us a way to be with him through all eternity. Our sins have been washed by the blood of Christ. This overwhelming blessing is a gift from God and not something that can be earned through human achievement.
“When the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:4-7 (NASB)
Some of us who have been saved were less deserving than others, but make no mistake about it; none of us lived a life of perfection, totally without sin, as did our Savior, Jesus Christ. Therefore, our salvation is only possible because of his great sacrifice.
“Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:11 (NASB)
All believers remember clearly the day their sins were washed away – first by trusting Jesus as your Lord and Savior and again in a public expression of your faith through baptism. What a glorious day that was! If you have not yet given your life to Christ, now is the perfect opportunity to admit your sinful, self-serving nature, and place your faith in the work Jesus performed for you on the cross. Turn from your sin and seek to follow Jesus from this moment forward. Make this commitment to God right now in prayer and you will be saved.
“Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.” Acts 22:16 (NASB)
Praise God for all those who come to Christ! Fill your heart with joy for all those whose sins have been washed away.
Let this song fill your heart.
Our salvation is an astonishing act of love; God’s love. There is no other love like God’s love. His love changes everything. God’s love never runs out.
“The Lord appeared to him from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.” Jeremiah 31:3 (NASB)
We are attracted to God by his overwhelming love. God’s love is the energy that makes our hearts beat. God’s love provides our eternal destiny. God’s love is the catalyst for everything good that happens in our lives.
“See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are.” 1 John 3:1 (NASB)
Regardless of our selfish, sinful nature, God welcomes us into his family with loving arms. God so loves us he sent his son to die so that we might have life in him. That transformation opens our eyes to the bright light of truth.
“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:10 (NASB)
Once our eyes have been opened to the truth, there is no turning back. Everything changes. Life is never the same. We will remain in the loving arms of God for all eternity.
Let this song fill your spirit.
I see His body breaking
I see His fingers bleed
I see the darkness tremble at the ground below His feet
In the darkest hours
There on Calvary
He was sweetly broken
Broken beautifully, broken beautifully
So come on into the waters
Come let the broken sing
Come all you sons and daughters
His love changes everything
Come when the fear is fighting
You finding the Risen King
Come on and let the light in
Your love changes everything
And when the Heavens opened
I saw the sins of men
Become a crown of glory as You died and rose again
In the darkest hours
In the valley low
I will fear no evil
‘Cause You’ll never let me go
You’ll never let me go
So come on into the waters
Come let the broken sing
Come all you sons and daughters
His love changes everything
Come when the fear is fighting
You finding the Risen King
Come on and let the light in
Your love changes everything
Your love, Your love, Your love changes everything
Your love, Your love, Your love changes everything
And none can overcome when death has lost its sting
Your love, Your love, Your love
In the darkest hours
In the valley low
I will fear no evil
You’ll never let me go
You’ll never let me go
So come on into the waters
Come let the broken sing
Come all you sons and daughters
His love changes everything
Come when the fear is fighting
You finding the Risen King
Come on and let the light in
Your love changes everything
Your love, Your love, Your love changes everything
Your love, Your love, Your love changes everything
Your love, Your love, Your love changes everything
Your love, Your love, Your love
His door is now open to you. You are in God’s presence. Don’t leave without Him. Keep Him with you throughout your day.
Go in peace.
