Love Has Come

Jesus will come again!  That’s an absolute certainty.  All the struggles we face in this life will disappear in that day.  For now, we prepare our hearts for His return by standing firm in our faith, knowing that every trial we face makes us stronger and better prepared for our eternal life with Jesus.  We are God’s humble servants proudly enduring every difficulty of life in this world.  Our present day reward are the moments of joy we experience when the love God provides, connects us with the hearts of others.  Our ultimate reward is on the way.

“Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”  Philippians 2:8-11

The Love of Jesus

The sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf has no equal.  Christ paid the cost for our sin with his blood and His resurrection was a vivid demonstration of his awesome power.  We are also filled with that awesome power when we place our faith in him.  Our faith in Jesus provides us access to the Holy Spirit for guidance and protection from the enemy.  Filled with the Spirit and empowered by a heart filled with love, we can endure all the challenges this world sends our way.

“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”  John 15:13

Love One Another

As followers of Jesus, we demonstrate our faith by loving others, turning our backs on our selfish desires, and allowing God to transform our lives.  More like Jesus – that’s our constant desire.  As a true child of God, nothing is more important that sharing his love with others.  We serve God by serving others at every opportunity.

“We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”  1 John 4:16

Jesus came to earth to fill our hearts with his love.  He came for us.  He came for all those who are willing to humble themselves before God and place their faith in his never-ending love.
