Fill This Place

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”  John 1:1-5

Jesus Christ is fully God and therefore his hand is in all of creation.  When we study the teachings of Jesus, we are filled with his light.  The darkness found in this world cannot comprehend the light of Jesus.  Only those who have trusted in his death and resurrection for their salvation, are able to step out of the darkness into the light.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  Romans 15:13

When we come together as believers, our spirits are bound together in the love that God provides.  It is this love that powers our mission to serve God by serving others.  Connected by the Holy Spirit, believers act as one body seeking to fulfill God’s plan.

“Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.”  Psalm 95:6-7

Our Lord and Creator provided us with salvation through Jesus Christ and we appear before him in humble adoration when we worship together.  When we exercise our faith in this way, we inherit all the promises of God.  Our every heartbeat is a gift from God and when we are surrounded by the spirit of God, our hearts beat together with unstoppable love.
