Celebrate Your Faith

Let the Holy Spirit fill your heart with joy as you ponder the awesomeness of God the Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”  Colossians 3:16 (NASB)

Let this be a time of worship to God.  Pray each prayer and add your own personal message to God.  Read each scripture as though reading it for the first time – listen carefully for the voice of God.  Listen to each song paying close attention to the lyrics provided.  These songs were carefully chosen.  Even if the music is not your favorite style of music, know that the musicians performing are sincerely making music to the Lord.  Try to feel the passion in their words and their musical expression.  Give thought to the message presented and confirm the truth therein by opening your Bible and taking some time to do your own personal study.  May you be greatly blessed.

Let’s Pray Together

Heavenly Father, we stand in your presence in awe of your awesome power and love.  We seek that which is your will in our lives and look forward to the return of your Son Jesus Christ.  Please Father, wrap your arms around each of us and provide for us all of our needs.  Forgive us Father, for all of our mistakes and failures in our pursuit of righteousness.  Develop in us the ability to also forgive those who disrupt our lives.  Open our eyes Father, to the enemy who is in pursuit of our souls.  Let us see clearly the evil trying to control our lives so that we can avoid destruction.  We offer this prayer in the Holy name of Jesus.  Amen.

Celebrate Your Faith

If you’re a follower of Jesus, you have reason to celebrate every moment of every day.  You were lost and now have been found.  From the moment of your salvation, you have been safely in the hands of Jesus guided by the Holy Spirit.

“Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.”  Luke 15:23-24 (NASB)

Our walk with Jesus brings meaning to our shallow and incomplete existence in this world.  The overwhelming love of Jesus compels us to follow his teachings as presented in the Bible with a reciprocal love that fills our heart with joy.

“These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.”  John 15:11 (NASB)

This joy filled life should be a constant pattern for all believers.   It’s time for celebration with other believers as we encourage and support each other in our walk with the Lord.

“Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord.”  Ephesians 5:18-19 (NASB)

Take this opportunity right now to allow the spirit of God to take control and fill your heart with joy, giving thanks, and gleefully submitting to the will of God.

Allow this song to fill your heart with joy:

Shake – MercyMe

I just can’t believe

Where my life was at

All that I know is that my heart was broken

And I don’t ever wanna go back

Ain’t no explanation

How I saw the light

He found me and set me free

And it brought me back to life

Blame it on the transformation

Changed down to the core

His love is real

And I can’t sit still

Cause my name’s not shamed no more

Great God Almighty done changed this

Great God Almighty, He done changed me

You gotta shake, shake, shake

Like you’re changed, changed, changed

Brand new looks so good on you

So shake like you’ve been changed

Come on and shake, shake, shake like you’re changed

Shake, shake, shake like you’re changed

Maybe He came to you

When everything seemed fine

Or maybe your world was upside down and hit you right between the eyes

No matter when it happened

At 7 or 95

Move your feet ’cause you are free

And you’ve never been more alive

You gotta shake, shake, shake

Like you’re changed, changed, changed

Brand new looks so good on you

So shake like you’ve been changed

Come on and shake, shake, shake

Like you’re changed, changed, changed

Brand new looks so good on you

So shake like you’ve been changed

Come on and shake, shake, shake like you’re changed

Shake, shake, shake like you’re changed

Shake, shake

Great God Almighty done changed me

Great God Almighty, He done changed me

Great God Almighty done changed me

Great God Almighty, He done changed me

No matter when it happened

At 7 or 95

Move your feet, ’cause you are free

And you’ve never been more alive

You gotta shake, shake, shake

Like you’re changed, changed, changed

Brand new looks so good on you

So shake like you’ve been changed

You gotta shake, shake, shake

Like you’re changed, changed, changed

Brand new looks so good on you

So shake like you’ve been changed

Come on and shake, shake, shake

Like you’re changed, changed, changed

Brand new looks so good on you

So shake like you’ve been changed

Come on and shake, shake, shake like you’re changed

Shake, shake, shake like you’re changed

Shake, shake

Great God Almighty done changed me

Great God Almighty, He done changed me

Jesus is Alright

The world we live in offers many paths to so-called enlightenment.  Some practice various rituals that involve the beliefs of other religions, some seek tranquility through yoga or meditation, and some reach for any number of artificial stimulants to transform their emptiness into bliss.  The truth is, there is only one true source of joy and peace.  If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you have found the one and only path to eternal happiness through a relationship with God.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”  John 3:16 (NASB)

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”  John 14:6 (NASB)

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”  Acts 4:12 (NASB)

“For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”  1 Timothy 2:5 (NASB)

Before you found Jesus, you may have tried many of the other avenues the world offers.  If so, I’m certain you have discovered Jesus is all you need.  This world is constantly trying to infiltrate the spiritual life of Christian believers to no avail; however, it’s sometimes valuable for Christians to step into the world and bring Jesus to the unbelievers.

Jesus Is Just Alright – DC Talk

Do do do dupe dupe

Do do do dupe

Do do do dupe dupem dupe dopem do

Check it for me one time

Ohhhh, yeah yeah

Jesus is still alright with me

Jesus is still alright, oh yeah

Jesus is still alright with me

Jesus is still alright (He’s alright!)

Toby Mac, and the Mac is back – no slack

On a DC track that’s jacked,

Beyond comprehension

I believe that I failed to mention

That there’s a lack of recognition

When it comes to His position

Cause if Christ can’t be crossed over,

Then I’ll keep my beat up Nova

Jesus is still alright with me

Jesus is still alright, oh yeah

Jesus is still alright with me

Jesus is still alright

Back in place, and I’m all up in your face

With a rhyme that I embrace,

Like a mother to her child

I’m kickin’ it Jesus style

To the ones that think they heard

I did use the “J” word

‘Cause I ain’t too soft to say it

Even if DJ’s don’t play it

Do do do do do do do do

Do do do do do do do do

Do do do do do do do do

Jesus is still alright

I don’t care what they may say

I don’t care what they may do

I don’t care what they may say

Jesus is still alright

Alright with me, yeah

Jesus is alright, I know He’s alright

Jesus is alright, you know He’s alright

Jesus is alright, we know He’s alright

Jesus is alright, we know He’s alright

Now we come to the pay off

I’m down with the one that is known as the Son

Of the G to the O to the D never done

With the flow, in the know, on the go like a pro

Not for show cause I ain’t in the biz for the dough

Or the me, or the ray, all the dough’s gotta stay,

Cause I can’t, no I can’t, take it home anyway

Never trite when I write ’cause the Lord is my light

And His Word is my bond so ya know, (know, know, know, know…) He’s alright

Jesus is still alright with me

Jesus is still alright, oh yeah

Jesus is still alright with me

Jesus is still alright

Do do do do do do do do

Do do do do do do do do

Do do do do do do do do

Jesus is still alright

Think about it…

Celebrate Your Faith in Jesus with Praise

We owe everything to Jesus.  Every good thing that happens throughout your day is a product of his faithfulness.  His ultimate sacrifice on our behalf is enough to sustain our praise forever.

“We do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.”  Hebrews 2:9 (NASB)

“I will proclaim Your name to My brethren, in the midst of the congregation I will sing Your praise.”  Hebrews 2:12 (NASB)

“Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.”  Hebrews 13:15 (NASB)

All praise and all glory to God.  We have been greatly blessed.  Let the Holy Spirit fill your heart with joy as you ponder the awesomeness of God the Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
